KING CAMPUS

The project was undertaken in a unique manner with a multi-disciplinary team providing complete design/build/finance and operation services.

The residence has been designed to respond to the open natural setting of the site and the building has been oriented to provide view of a natural watercourse. The ground floor includes a mix of residence suites and communal function rooms including offices, laundry, and meeting space. The second and third floors are primarily dedicated to residence rooms. The building has been designed in a modular fashion to allow for an expansion of an additional 87 units in future phases.

The typical residence floor is divided into two wings and includes a common lounge and two study rooms. A typical residence suite is approximately 450 square feet and accommodates two students each with their own private bedroom. Both students share a private washroom and kitchenette within their suite. Additional suite types include a single bedroom model for Resident Advisors and suites specially designed for physically challenged students.
